An Adventurous Branding Board + Logo Design
Back before I began my photography journey, I was a professional graphic designer. I LOVED it. I also fell in love with photography, but my original love was - and always will be - graphic design. It's like a puzzle for me - a challenge, fitting the pieces together, searching for the perfect element, the right typeface to coordinate and bring understanding and cohesion to the work. I love being a designer, and it makes my heart sing. One of my goals this year is to do more design work and really focus on that.
I'd say I'm off to a pretty good start on that goal so far. :)
Katy of Katy Sergent Photography met up with me at a local styled shoot and we reconnected, and she found out I do graphic design work. She told me about how she really needed to rebrand her photography business because she's figured out and narrowed down the type of photography she loves doing - adventurous photography.
I was SO excited and had such a great time designing her new logo! From discussing ideas and inspirations, to hand drawing elements and incorporating them into designs, it's such an exciting and fun process and I enjoyed every minute of it!
The final logo includes a hand drawn (by yours truly!) mountain laurel flower, which ties in the area that Katie grew up in as well as the mountains that she regularly photographs in. I'm in love with it and the whole feeling it conveys!
Thank you so much for entrusting your business logo and branding to me, Katy! It was a pleasure working with you!
