Carina & Matt's Urban Mountain Engagement | TN Film + Digital Wedding Photographer
This warm sunshine and the greens popping up everywhere remind me of Carina + Matt's gorgeous engagement session in the summer! (it's only taken forever and a day for me to post it!) They are both into photography/videography themselves, and were especially excited about capturing some images on film, which I was more than happy to do! Any chance I get to bust out my vintage 35mm film camera I take it! This is something that I'm planning on incorporating more into my sessions in the future, as well. Because I think there's just a beautiful, raw, classic quality to film images, and I LOVE IT.
We spent some time in downtown Johnson City, getting some awesome brews at Yee-Haw Brewing Company and then wondering around for some urban-vibe images. My next favorite part was stopping into an arcade for some super fun shots! (although all those fluorescent colors made editing pretty interesting on my end, haha!).
Next we piled into the truck and headed up to a beautiful mountain bald, where you can see the mountain range all around you - 360 degree views of mountains. It's absolutely breathtaking, and one of my favorite places to shoot!
I had no idea, but when we got up there Matt just casually busts out his guitar and tells me he'd like to serenade Carina on the mountaintop.
GUYS. I ABOUT DIED FROM EXCITEMENT.
That's seriously one of the most romantic things ever - like something out of a movie! I was so excited I may or may not have been practically jumping up and down, haha! (yeah, I totally was. lol!) Music, snuggling, singing, dancing, and cuddling all commenced as the sun slowly sank behind the mountains. It was amazing, and I loved every single second of it!
Carina & Matt, you two were so awesome and your engagement session was absolutely epic! It's an understatement to say that I am super excited to photograph your wedding!
These were taken using a combination of film + digital.
