Spring/Easter Themed Mini-Sessions {knoxville child photography}

If you know me, you know that I just can't just anything halfway. Nope. I have to go all-out. If you're gonna put in the time and effort (and money!), you might as well go all-out, amiright? And alas, photography is no exception. I just can't help it.

So for every themed mini-session setup I have, there's hours of work involved - the vision, the shopping, putting it together, exchanging, more shopping, do-it-yourself projects, usually some woodworking and staining/sealing, maybe some sewing, etc etc. All-in-all - it's a TON of effort. But you know what? I love it. And I love that YOU, my client (or hopefully maybe a future client!) appreciate and love my vision, too. Because it's not nearly as much fun as if you don't! ;)

This year my vision for the Spring/Easter-y setup was light, airy, and colorful. To me, that really embodies Spring, and that's what I wanted to portray with the setups. For the stand, what better way to encompass Spring than with a "flowers for sale" stand, complete with watering can, plenty of Ball canning jars as vases and votive candle lanterns, and of course - fresh daffodils from a field. What says Spring more than that?

But that wasn't all. I wasn't satisfied with JUST the flower stand. No, no. I had another vision. This one, a little more earthy, a little more laid-back, a little more... childlike. I wanted something that really screamed "childhood", that kids (and even adults) could lay under and read, or daydream, or just be themselves. All while I captured the beauty through my camera lens. And what brings more childhood fun and imagination than a teepee?

The other night I put together both setups and had my son model them for me. He did a spectacular job. And I must say - I think the setups are top notch (of course I'm going to think that, though, haha!).
