Connor's 1 Year Photo Shoot {knoxville baby photography}

In early November our little man turned a whole year old. Holy cow! Where did the time go?! I can't believe it's been a whole entire year since the little man was born. I know people always say that time flies by and babies grow up before you know it, but hearing that and experiencing it are two completely different things. Somehow it seems like Connor's been part of our family forever and yet it also feels like he was just entering our hearts and lives yesterday. Craziness.

Anyhow, to mark the special occasion and remember the little man at this huge milestone in his life, we of course had to do a little photoshoot.

Thanks to some Pinterest inspiration (is anyone else out there completely addicted like I am?!), I made a simple chalkboard sign with a piece of wood and chalkboard paint. I wrote some skills and milestones from Connor's first year on it, and displayed it at his birthday party. Every year I plan on doing that to record - in a cute way, if I do say so myself - all the little things Connor is into/has done/is doing every year. I can totally see myself looking back through the photos years from now and smiling at the memories. And probably crying. Yep, that too.

Chalkboards are a simple and fun way to add some creativity and uniqueness to any photoshoot. I think they're a great prop, and you can even use them after the shoot, as well! (I plan on hanging ours in our living room and making it into a kind of subway-art type thing).

In this photo Connor was copying Barley. Too cute!

Happy 1 Year, Connor. We love you and can't wait to see what this next year will bring!
